Dear Mr. Seligman:
I am sorry that I cannot yet give you any definite word about the Laurent de la Hyre and the other paintings of which you left photographs some time ago. As you know, I am leaving Herron (on June 15th) in order to assume the directorship of the Smith College Museum of Art; therefore it will be necessary for you to continue correspondence about your pictures with Mr. Peat when he returns to Indianapolis from Europe (June 10th).

The last Fine Arts Committee meeting of our season will be held on Tuesday, June 21, and I suggest that you get in touch with him before that date. I will speak to him, also.

With very kind regards,
Sincerely yours,
Robert O. Parks

G.S. Because of other matters it was June 21st before I got to this -- and as that was the very day of the meeting I did nothing - especially as I didnt see what could be written Mr Peat anyway - Parks was going to speak to him so what could I write?
