THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF THIS HISTORY OF ART
LAWRENCE, KANSAS

Dear Sir:
I am currently working on a monograph devoted to the Flemish 17th century painter, Anthony van Dyck, which will also comprise a Catalogue Raisonné of his paintings. Publication is tentatively foreseen within a range of two to three years.

May I ask you for a good 8 x 10 inches, black-and-white photograph of each painting by Van Dyck, or his studio or school, which is currently exhibited by your institution; as well as a copy of the information in your files regarding each work? The cost of the prints will be settled by return, upon receipt of your invoice.

I would also appreciate hearing from you concerning permission to reproduce the material in my above-mentioned monograph. Should any cost concerning reproduction rights be involved, please state the amount. My publisher will then settle this aspect of the question directly, in due course.

Thanking you in advance for your kind cooperation,

Very truly yours,
Erik Larsen
