Dear Mr. Pope-Hennessy:

May I once more impose upon your kindness and ask for your opinion and advice.

Herein I am taking the liberty of sending you three photographs of a marble bust offered to me from Germany and of course, purporting to be by Vittoria. No pedigree of collection has been indicated so far - its height is 0,66. cm. You being the well-spring of information, I would not be suprised to hear that you have already been consulted on this very item, the art world being such a small community.

I am remaining in Paris at the above address until the middle of June when I shall be looking forward to seeing you again in London. However, if in the meantime I could have a word from you, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanking you in advance for your kind reply and with personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman

P. S. Should you already have photographs of this sculpture, would you mind putting these aside for me.
