Dear Mrs. Parker,

I am replying to your letter of 20th May addressed to Mr. Davies who is abroad for some weeks. Thank you very much indeed for the information about the despatch of the Philippe de Champaigne and we are very glad to hear that it will be arriving so soon.

I do not think there are any special regulations applying to the Gallery which need to bother you. Your agents might, however, like to consider arranging to send the picture under seal through the Customs and for it then to be opened at the Gallery here in the presence of the custom officers. This makes little difference in fact, but might save some slight time or bother at the Customs.

Yours truly,
Michael Levey
