THE WALLACE COLLECTION
MANCHESTER SQUARE
LONDON, W.1.

2nd January, 1969.

Dear Mr. Seligman,

I was very glad to gather from your letter that you had recovered from this beastly Hong Kong 'flu. I hope that it has not left any after effects.

I was particularly disappointed not to see you as it is a long time since I paid a visit to 5 East 57th Street. I originally came in to see a drawing from your last exhibition which Mrs. Wrightsman was interested in buying, but unfortunately it had already been sold, as Mrs. Parker will have told you. I thought that the small drawing for the seal of the Emperor by Prud'hon might have interested her also as I have been forming a collection of decorative drawings for the Wrightsmans for some time. She was intending to come in and see it whilst she was in New York for a few days, but she tells me she has been imprisoned in Palm Beach with the same sort of 'flu as you had.

With all good wishes for the New Year,

Yours sincerely,
Francis Watson
