Dear William:

How kind of you to have so promptly answered my letter in connection with the "Cupid" by Gianbologna.

If I am happy to hear from you and also to read of your approval of my purchase of this lovely marble I am sorry to hear how busy the running of the museum is again keeping you.

Will you allow me to send you herein a check for your study. We can settle the balance by and by.

However, if I am doing this now it is because I am leaving tomorrow on a rushed trip of about three weeks to Europe, and meanwhile want to show my appreciation of your so very thoughtful cooperation.

With kindest regards,

Sincerely yours,

(Germain Seligman)
