Dear bro-in-law;
Thanks for your several notices. I think you made your point. In my book, you make a good lawyer and in that wise, a good advocate for your people.

What then is the trouble that the people don't [[strikethrough]] g [[/strikethrough]] change? The answer is that they don't recognize what is involved. It is like our land case; the delegates did not know what was involved when they voted not to appeal the THIA verdict, e.g. that by not appealing they also lost forever their property rights in free swimming fish.

The Indians stateside are getting 1/2 the fish run. We had the same property right altho not written. The only way we will get it back is via congress and so we should be working at it. This applies to the THIA award. We wont get replevin, but we could get an adjustment of the price.
Sincerely
William

P.S. There is a momument to chief Katite on block 55, Klawock, an area claimed by certain GaanuXuddy, to block 55 & 56, deed to which was made out to Wm.Chuck about 1939. What do you know about that area. The original cannery was on a portion of it? Margery Thompson Young is trying to probate it (for Billy chuck's liquor bill I think.).) WLP
