My visit to Alaska was one of the most important activities of my first months as Secretary of the Interior. I don't mind saying that the highlight of my Alaska visit was the reception in your office and the delightful buffet of Native foods. Please express my sincere thanks and best wishes to all on your staff and the others who helped prepare the numerous delicacies.

I look forward to another opportunity to visit Alaska in the months ahead, and I am sure you will find that a visit to your office will be a regular event.
