Mr. Roy Peratrovich
A.N.B. Executive Committeeman
1002 30th West, Apt. 15
Anchorage, Alaska 99503

Dear Roy:

It was with deep regret that I did not receive the Anchorage Agency's invitation to attend the reception and dinner honoring you on your retirement from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, until today. Had I been given sufficient notice, I would have given every effort to attend this occasion. The letter was typed out Oct. 1st and mailed the 4th.

I would like to take this time on behalf of the Alaska Native Sisterhood to highly commend you on your years of service with the Bureau. Your many, many, years of devotion not only with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, but also with Alaska Native Brotherhood, will long be remembered by us all.

The tribute due to such a man as yourself, is a tribute long past due. Your years of dedication, hard work, and concern is one we cannot surpass. You certainly have been one man among our native people who has carried the living example of of what our founding fathers did. We graciously acknowledge this to you, as Sisters.

We look forward to seeing you at the upcoming convention to be held in Juneau. Until then, God be with you.

Yours in Sisterhood,

Johanna E. Hotch
