"Welcome to circus lingo"! (Dr. Denise) 2. "Hold your horses" comes from the circus. The caliope, & very loud piano played which let people know the circus was in town 3. They said "hold your horses" whenever the parade stopped. 4. "Rain or shine": had to do the show no matter the weather. 5. Tents took up 17 acres of space. Tents for animals, costumes. A blacksmith traveled with the circus due to the overwhelming amount of horses. 6. 1:15 A word game begins. 7. Players listen to the short stories. Players underline unfamiliar words on the cards. A female clown passes out hint money. 8. There is one story card for each table of players.
