13. Lau's 1st program was Michigan in 1987. The curatorial group wanted to present Upper Peninsula fishermen. She had to figure out how to get their large boat to the mall. Had someone in Menominee make a cradle for Dick Grabowski's boat, and have it loaded on a rail car to Baltimore. Many complications ensued. 
14. Rich Kennedy discusses Pakistani truck issues during Silk Road exhibit. Complications slowed its arrival until 1st day of festival.

16. Parker discusses the 3-month, 1976 festival, which changed every week. Says people on staff got to know each other well, but glad when it was over. She says staff was warned at the end not to party so hard that they drive a Pargo into the reflecting pool.

18. Barbara recalls Hawaii program & whole pig BBQ. Obtained a pig from Maryland farmer, but it was illegal to transport across state line. Farmer smuggled it in. It was illegal because the pig was dead with it's head attached.

22. Derbyshire 1982, Oklahoma program, needed horse stables. Nat'l Park Service had some, but CFCH had to clean & repair them. 
23. Q&A: Will festival of 1976 size ever happen again? PARKER: It would be a challenge to get the same level of corporate support and Congressional funding.
