Sir: 
Your communication of the 29th is recd and I am directed by the Asst Com'r to respectfully call your attention to par 1759. Code of Ga. This was not repealed by the act to amend or alter the laws of this state in relation to apprenticeship - approved March 17th 1866. If either of the blood-relatives applying for the guardianship of these children have sufficient means to warrant the belief that they can properly provide for them, it is the opinion of the Asst Com'r that they have an undoubted right, under the law of this State, to claim the custody of the children.
