Your Com of 26th Ulto has been recd and the Ass't Com'r directs me to say that as soon as the Inspections Reports have been received from the different Posts & Stations in this District it can then be determined whether troops can be retrieved from other points & Sent to Rome, and if it is found practicable to do so your request will be granted.
