Edwin L. Cole, Esq.,
Box #135,
Passaic, N.J.

Dear Sir:-

Acknowledging your undated letter, addressed to Mrs. Charles L. Freer, asking permission to send a parcel of Mexican bronze work for inspection, I desire to say there is no Mrs. Charles L. Freer. Mr Freer is a bachelor. He sailed on the 18th instant for Europe, to be absent several months, and in his absence I opened your letter.

Yours truly,
Frank J Hecker
