195 #33 Ferry Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, August 14th, 1901. Alexander Shaw, Esq., #1145 Broadway, New York City. Dear Sir:-- On my return home day before yesterday from an absence of three months abroad, I found the two pairs of eye glasses, and your kind note of the 9th instant. Many thanks for both. Kindly send the 11/12 dozen frames to me, together with bill for same. Before having any more of them mounted, I wish to have my eyes re-examined. After this has been done, I can then have the frames fitted with glasses from time to time as necessity may require. Yours very truly, Charles L. Freer
