Dear Truman:--

I have your good letter of the 11th instant, referring to Parke, Davis & Company Stock, and have read the same most carefully. Let me say in reply thereto that I look upon my holding of the shares in that company as practically the best business investment I have, and I cannot bring myself to dispose of any part of it at present. I wish to assure you, however, that should I ever contemplate such action, I shall certainly consult with you before taking any action. Furthermore, it will afford me at such time great pleasure to give you the first opportunity to purchase a part or all thereof.

In accepting my proxy, you are doing me a real service, which I really appreciate, and, should opportunity to reciprocate ever offer, I will be most happy to serve you.

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
