Dear Sir:--

I have your two letters dated May 1st, and note the same fully. I have no doubt you will have a pleasant visit at Buffalo. I understand that the buildings are very fine.

I am very sorry that I shall not be in Detroit when you pass through here on your way to take the steamer at Vancouver. I shall leave Detroit about one week from now and sail from New York on May 13th, hoping to have a pleasant visit on Capri.

I will be glad to deliver your messages to Messrs. Jermone and Coleman.

Trusting you will have a very safe journey to Japan, and hoping some day to see you back again in this country, I remain, with best wishes,

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
