Colonel Frank J. Hecker,

My dear Sir:
Mr Freer called this morning to inquire if I had made everything quite clear to you in the letter which I wrote you yesterday when sending you a small package of old Prints by mail. These prints are for him, sent to your care.
Mr Freer now bids me add to my letter of yesterday the following details, viz:
These prints are not liable to Customs duty because they were all printed and published more than twenty years ago. Old prints - like old books - are admitted duty free.
If, however, the post office or customs authorities should make any objections to delivering the package to you free of duty, you have the right to re-mail the package to me - at 3 Duke St, Adelphi, London, so that I could send it back along with the London Consul's certificate that the contents are not dutiable. In that case you would have to re-stamp and re-address the package and have it mailed to London.
Yours very sincerely,
Frederick Keppel.
P.S. It does me good to see how strong and hearty Mr Freer is.
