Dear Cousin:--
I have your letter of the 14th instant, enclosing your mortgage note for $4,500.00, with interest coupons attached, dated November 30th, 1903, bearing interest at the rat of 6% per annum, due November 30th, 1908; also the mortgage deed and abstract to the property described, namely: lot No. 9, Block 2, Penniman's addition to the city of Minneapolis.

The papers seem to be all in proper order, and I shall hold the same until I have the chance to see Lottie Whaley, and if she desires to take the loan, I will transfer all my interest therein to her. If she does not care for the investment, I will hold it personally.

Wishing you the compliments of the season, I remain, Yours very sincerely,
Charles L. Freer
