Dear Sir,
I write to request you to make enquiry in regard to a Collored boy named Filmore Johnson supposed to be in New Orleans at the present time. He left Galveston in the Steamer "Belvadere" about the first part of Sept. he was acting in the capacity of Asst. Cook upon the steamer. He left the Steamer as soon as she arrived in New Orleans and has not been heard from since please forward any information you may get in regard to him. I write at request of his Mother.
