I take pleasure in introducing to your favorable consideration Col J N Mann and Col JC Evans of Washington County, who are on their way to Georgia for the purpose of obtaining Freedmen to assist them in working their own plantations as well as the plantations of Col J R Evans, and that of the Estate of Wm Mann deceased of which Col Evans is the administrator, I am personally acquainted with all of the parties and know that they are thoroughly reliable, and that their plantations are all in good order, well stocked with provisions, agricultural implements, mules, wagons &c &c.
Freedmen who may engage to work in those plantations will have an opportunity of being well cared for [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]], and with a good prospect of remunerative wages. If it is in your power officially
