January 1866. He was in feeble health but he was confident of living to settle his children.  The last I heard of him was of his death at White's Ranche Tex.  Subsequently Alexander G. Milstead applied for letters of administration on the effects and estate of his father, then the sale of stock & other personal property was advertised.  The above stock & other property is now claimed [[strikethrough]] by [[/strikethrough]] and held by A.G. Milstead as his own, leaving the colored wife and children in destitute circumstances.  George Milstead died in April 1866 leaving a wife and three children, without any means of support.  A.G. Milstead having possession of the property which belonged to [[strikethrough]]Abram [[/strikethrough]] George Milstead.
