In conclusion the injury on the head - called an "awful incision" - was a trifling wound. Saunders, accompanied by the Agent, attended the trial of Mr. Randall - knew the result, yet appears to have witheld that part entirely from his "Statement" where he says "Capt. Collins, when I applied, would do nothing for me".
The delay in forwarding this communication was occasioned by illness of the Sub. Asst. Com.
