I have written to Montgomery, Montgomery County, that I would be there on the 18th inst. to assist in making settlements between Planters and freedmen, and I will leave here on the 18th inst as pr. orders from you to be gone 3 or 4 days, leaving A.A. Surgeon Thos. C. Baird in charge of this office until my return.
