Office Freedmans Bureau Leon County, June 17. 1866 Genl I have the honor to report to you that Capt I H Bradford informed me on the 15 inst that he was prepared to make arrests of the parties by whom I have been assaulted, I requested him at present, to make no arrests, as I had not yet been able to collect sufficient proff, to insure their convicion of a serious & premeditated outrage before a military commission. The great opposition to the Freedmans Bureau in this section causes, even, good Citizens, to sympathise with Bad Men.
