States that the district court S. A. Wilson presiding adjourned yesterday, and that there was no prejudice or partiality shown-

Judge Wilson think since the passage of the military Bill that any of his Judicial Acts will be illegal & therefore has given up his circut & returned home;- States that he (Johnson) differ with the Judge in that the Bill does not design the dissolution of civil govt.

Respectfully suggests that an order or notice be issued to that effect, states that he is not opposed to the

replacement of civil by Military government, but favours it & think that nothing short of it will accomplish a satisfactory reconstruction
