I protect the freedmen.

I shall send you a copy of the proceedings. In the mean time what respect shall I pay to the order of the Court if it is against me.

The question raised is, Has the Bureau any power at all, is it known to the law.

The applicant for the writ says no. I say the Bureau is a Court or tribunal for the trial or adjudication of abuses.

If I am defeated what respect shall I pay to the order of the Court.

If I respect it our functions are ended. I am fatigued.

Very Respectfully
Your Most Obt Sert
