I have the honor to state that in accordance with permission granted to me from Bu Hd Qrts, dated Galveston, Jany 4" 1867 (EB 240), that I have employed a clerk for two months, from Febry 1" 1867 until 31" March 1867, at Seventy five Dollars per month.

I am in opes by the assistance of this gentleman to get my back papers all up correctly & to keep them up.
