I have the honor to report that I this day forward to Lt Chas Garretson, A.A.Q.M. the "Quadruplicates" of Contracts approved by me as S.A. Commr. in accordance with Bu Hd Qrts G.O. No 1. for the months of January & February 1867, also remitting to him James Wrigley Sight a/c on Messrs Bolling, Spooner & Co, Galveston, for Fifty four 50 (say $54 50) Dollars, being in full of the amount collected by me for "approving contracts."

I most respectfully make the following statement, viz
From 1" to 9" of January 1867, [the date of the reception of G.O. No 1] I approved fourty (40) Contracts.
From January 9" to February 4" 1867, [the date of the reception of G.O. No 3] I approved Twenty Nine (29) Contracts.
