In your letter, I find the following sentence:--
"If you come when I am not there this summer, the enclosed will admit you to the best place there is."
As the letter came without an enclosure, I do not quite understand the sentence. Was it your intention to put something in the letter?

I hope that sometime when you are passing through Detroit and have a couple of days of leisure, you will stop with me, and have a look at some of the things I have been gathering together since you were my guest. A few very beautiful things have fallen to my lot, and I know you will like them.
