Dear Cousin Lottie:--

This morning's mail brought me your letter of the 3rd instant, and I am glad you have decided to let me take up my note for $8,575.00, you taking in part payment thereof, the two mortgages given by Charles V. Lang and Wife on real estate near Minneapolis, Minn., referred to in my letter of the 30th ultimo. I, therefore, take pleasure in enclosing herewith, my check on the Guaranty Trust Company of New York to your order for $2,075.00, and am to-day sending to you, by American Express, charges pre-paid, the following securities for the remainder of the amount, namely $5,500.:-

Mortgage note dated October 23rd, 1901, made by Charles V Lang and wife to Charles L. Freer, due on or before October 23rd, 1906, amount $2,000.00, bearing interest at 6% per annum, payable semi-annually, with October 23rd, 1904 coupon, and subsequent coupons, attached thereto; with the endorsement of Charles L. Freer upon the note and each of the coupons.

Mortgage deed, Charles V. Lang and Wife to Charles L. Freer, $2,000.00, dated October 23rd 1901 for 7 7/8 acres of land in the County of Hennepin,Minnesota, near the City of Minneapolis.

Abstract of Title to the above described property.

Mortgage note dated November 30th, 1903, made by Charles V. Lang to Charles L. Freer, due on or before November.
