My dear Colonel,

I am sending you herewith a letter from Ed. Hauss together with his last months reports which you will doubtless be interested in. Ed forwarded his statements to me, without knowing very much about your movements, I fancy, and I have written him an appreciative letter in which I have told him of my intention to send the reports on to you, also that I thought He had hereafter better continue to send all of his statement to you addressed to your Washington office. Will you kindly send him a line telling him your pleasure in the matter.

Very sincerely yours,

Charles L. Freer
