Detroit, Michigan, April 28th, 1904.
Hon. Alfred Lucking,
House of Representatives,
Washington, D.C.
My dear Sir:--
Permit me to thank you sincerely for your kind interest in connection with the bill empowering the American Academy at Rome to own a home of its own. It is a pleasure to know that it passed the committee, even if the Speaker refused it recognition.
As I understand it, the bill is now on the register, and can be brought up before the House early during its next session. The movement is a very worthy one and should prevail.
Your kindness in keeping Mr. Hance and myself so fully informed by wire of the progress of the bill is a courtesy which is also deeply appreciated.
Hoping for an opportunity to reciprocate your goodness,
I remain,
Very Sincerely yours,
Charles L. Freer
