I have the honer to submit the following report in compliance with circular letter dated. Head Quarters Dest of Miss. March 28th 1867 immediately on the recept of above mentioned circular, I wrote to several prominent gentlemen and civil officers in the various counteys in my Dist. inclosing copy said circular requesting them to forward the desired information as soon as possible. I have received no reply. up to date. At this point there is four two club footed (males) age unknowen. One imbecile (male) age 45, one female idiotic age unknowen the two last named individuals are supported by the muncipal authoritys of this place

I have the honor to Submit the following report in compliance with circular No 5 dated War. Department. Bu.R.F.&A.L. Washington. D.C. Feb. 20th 1867. the Freedmans School at Corinth is the only one in opperation it commenced on the 6th of March with Six scholars the average nomber up to date fifty five (55) A night school has been recently opened for adults, nomber of scholars, eighteen (18) prospects of being a vary large school; from reliable information a large school could be established at Sterges A Moltons Settlement about six miles, between this place & Danvill, forty to forty five children. Another one could be opened at Sharps School House about seven miles from this place on the Mobile & Ohio. R. Road. There is several large towns that is destitute of schools. Jaincento [Jacinto?]], Baldwin, Iuke [[Iuka]], Pontotoc, Fulton, & Riply [[Ripley]], to insure sucess good male teachers will be required. 

The discipline of the school at Corinth is excleint  I respectfully invite attention to inclosed copy of Report of the Proseedings of school committe for the Freedmans school of Cornith.
