Many thanks for your kind letter of April 4th, enclosing statement of account, showing a balance in your favor of 1316.50 francs, which is absolutely correct.
It is with a great amount of pleasure, that I noticed your intention of coming over in May. I feel exceedingly happy to see you again.
Your stay in Paris is likely to coincide with a sale of an important collection of Japanese paintings which is going to take place at the end of may and would be interesting to you on account of it being composed to a large extent of the schools which you are fond of. 
Perhaps I shall be able to send you some reproductions by next mail which might arrive in time to meet you still in Detroit
