Trustees

January 21, 1955

If each trustee could get at least two (2) life memberships at $100 cash or enough large donations of from $10 to $25 to make up our $200, then each would have her goal aside from what you could get on Douglass Day, February 12, 1955.

Please let me know right away what you will do to help with this Douglass work. I have prayed to our Heavenly Father for each trustee as well as for all the Negro race in this country to help do the job now. Oh, if all of our people would pray and stick together, what a great work could be accomplished this year. Please help.

We cannot dedicate anything but ourselves until something is accomplished. God is holding back the things we want until the women learn to love each other, have more faith in God and themselves, and work without ceasing until all things are done.

May God bless each woman and give us strength and a mind to work until the Douglass Home is the kind of memorial that is fitting for such a great American as Frederick Douglass.

Yours for great success this year,

Emma I. Dickson, President
