[[strikethrough]]one or two houses[[strikethrough]] Dr Hunsaker told his guard to be polite and gentlemanly and insult no one of black or white, if they did he would hold them responsible, and to do no injury to any person or property, and I further state, that no injury was done to any person or property, that the guard did not fire a gun that night, Dr Hunsaker disbanded his guard about three oclock that night and told to all go home and behave themselves - except, 2 to go with him to Capt Bradford for soldiers for protection. This is all I know about it that night, The next day I heard through [[strikethrough]] two [[strikethrough]] three freedmen that a party of armed citizens was following Dr Hunsaker, for the purpose to have him dead or alive, the above mentioned freedmen are named Westly Oten - Willis Cosley Addison Lane
