Personally appeard before Thomas Dawson who on oath made this affidavit -- I was in the town of Crockett on the 25th day of September 1867 -- and saw that some of the citizens were armed on horseback who said they were going to follow Dr Hunsaker and Kill Henry if they caught him and kill the freedman that was with Dr Hunsaker, I remember of seeing the following men in the party, Bill, Lacy, James Downs, J. A. Wright Vest Hall Alex James there were more but do not rember their names-, This rowdy crowd does not like Dr Hunsaker because Hunsaker wont Drink with them and mix with them, but does justice to the freedmen, I know this from what I have seen and heard I have never seen Dr Hunsaker intoxicated
