Lieut.
In obedience to instructions received, I have the honor to submit the following report of murders and outrages committed in this county since 1865.  The majority of the cases I obtained from reliable citizens of the county.
There has been but one man killed in Clarskville since Jan 1st 1868.
About Jan. 1st 1868.  Thos Lenox a planter shot and killed another planter named Hardy Barry.  Mr. Barry was drunk and insulted Mr. Lenox and with a pocket-knife in his hand, said he could eat everybody up and walked towards Lenos, who drew a revolver and shot him, Barry never recovered from
