I have the honor to report that a most cool blooded & foul Murder, of a Freedman named Andrew Talbot, was perpetrated in this place on the 7" instant.
The Circumstances are as follows:

A man of the name of H. B. Waller, well known as a lawyer; had been during the week endeavoring to organize a "Colored Democratic Club" and was announced to speak on Wednesday with a colored man whom he had brought from Houston. As the colored people of this County did not attend, Waller
