Dr Killibrough, this Dr reported slanderous things about my reputation while I lived at Waco, previous to my coming to Marlin, some of my friends heard of it, but did not tell me at the time but went immediately to Waco, to ascertain the facts in the case, when they went to Waco, where I had lived two years they were told by some of the best citizens that I could establish as good a reputation as any lady in McLennan Co. They came back to Marlin and reported that it was false, that had been reported about my reputation. This Killibrough finding that he was going to fail in breaking up my school, he reported that an old peddler had told him that he (the old peddler) had known me in Missouri, and that I was not a decent woman in Mo. and that my name was not Sayars in Missouri, the consequences were that my school went to nothing and I, being a poor widow woman with three children to support, must suffer
