Office Sub-Ass't. Com'r.
Bu. R., F. and A.L., 18th Sub-Dist.,
Dist. of Texas,
Sumpter, Trinity Co., April 6th 1868.

Lieut. J.P. Richardson,
A.A.A. Gen'l.,
Bu. R., F. and A.L.,
Austin, Texas.

Lieut:

I have the honor to recommend H.C. Pedigo to be Contractor for the following mail route, which would not only bring me into possession of Official Mail but would also be a benefit to the people in Eastern Texas, now intirely deprived of any Mail. Route No. 8630 from Liberty to Crockett as per statute advertised by the Postmaster General. Aso the route from Livingston to Moscow, this route was not published nor carried since the war, but just an important route as the one from Liberty to Crockett, distance (18) eighteen miles.

I am, Lieut.,
Very Respectfully,

over.
