2nd Twenty five bales of Cotton belonging to the Company were impressed by Maj Dickinson for the Confed. States, and who turned the same over to Sarenburg & Bros, as shown by a statement heretofore sent by the Company to Brig Genl Boggs. We ask that an equal amount of cotton be returned to us at San Antonio, with a permit to export the same.

3rd  We ask that the Collector of Tithe Cotton for Falls or McLennan County be required to turn over to us seventy five bales of Cotton, of five hundred weight pr bale, with a permit to export. This Cotton we agree to pay for with cloth at the cost of manufacturing the same. Sd cost being estimated by worth of material used [[?]] of operations wear of machines &c and to be adjudged by a skilled manufacturer.

We desire to furnish to the Government one half of the Cloth manufactured by us, as [[strikethrough]]a fair assessment of [[/strikethrough]] the cost of making the same taking into consideration the risk of the destruction of the Factory by fire &c its value &c. Cost of material &c &c. to be paid in Cotton & wool. The comparitive value to be ascertained by fair and disinterested men
