Dear Mr. Eyre:-
Your letter of October 6th was received last Monday, and we have since been expecting the details for the stairs leading from the second story hall to the storage room. Also, the detail for stair rails for the other stairs of the building.

I am glad that you have decided to design these yourself and I hope you will forward the sketch at your earliest convenience.

I note your remark about the diagonal door to vestibule for storage room, and am sure this will work out all right.

The foundation for the stone wall is now in and as soon as the detail for the post arrives the laying of stone will begin.

Thanks for the information concerning the hardware and the covert dampers.

The representative of the firm who made the defusing sash has been here all the week and is planning to erect his work. We find the material has not been made as I requested Mr. Warrington to do, and he advised me would be done. So we are re-shaping [[strikethrough]] them [[/strikethrough]] it here. In this connection I would like to inquire what you would think of introducing a moulding around the sky-light on the ceiling to cover the joint of plaster and iron. I think a properly designed moulding would improve the appearance of the room as well as hide the joint of plaster and iron. If you think well of the moulding kindly make a full size sketch of what you would like used, and state whether it shall be of wood or plaster.

The laying of the outside ornamental tiles has made little or no progress since you were here, because of the absence of properly shaped tiles for use at the angles. The whole tile business seems to be in a state of confusion but we hope to untangle it soon. It now looks as if no
