My dear Mr. Waldo:--
It was very good of you to send me a copy of your interesting pamphlet on the condition of the Isthmian Canal work. I have enjoyed reading it very much. I am, also, obliged for having suggested to Mr. Penhallow to favor me with a copy of his little brochure concerning the Penhallow Panels.

I know Clifford's Inn very well indeed. I am also acquainted quite thoroughly with the South Kensington Museum, and during my next visit I shall take particular pains to see the Penhallow Panels.

Wishing you a very joyous Christmas and a Happy New Year, I remain,

Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
