My dear Mr. Griffith:--
I have your kind note of the 24th instant and I am pleased to say in reply that it will afford me much pleasure to participate in the pleasant event arranged for Sunday afternoon, next. Proper recognition of your services, as proposed by the exercises offered you by the President and Trustees of the Museum, is certainly as agreeable to your friends as it must be to you. The affair will doubtless be largely attended and much good will be done.

Thanking you for your Holiday wishes and trusting that you, too, are enjoying its blessings, I remain,
Very sincerely yours,
Charles L. Freer
