Dear Mr. Saint-Gaudens:--
Referring to our earlier correspondence.

The result of my visit to the White House and the several interviews had with the President and his advisors is partially outlined in the newspaper clipping, enclosed herewith. It would seem as if my Collections will be eventually anchored in Washington and I am extremely anxious to have it include the figure of Painting, which you are good enough to undertake.

I would like to meet you soon and talk over the work for Washington as well as that for West Point at the same conference. I must be in New York about the middle of January and if you are to be there at about that time it would please me very much to see you there at about that time it would please me very much to see you there. If you prefer, I could meet you in New York practically any time that you may happen to be there during either February or March. Will you kindly keep me posted concerning any trip or trips to New York now on your mind?

Wishing you a full measure of Holiday joy, believe me,
Very sincerely yours,
Charles L Freer
