Dear Sir:-

Your letter of August 19th is received, and I note what you said therein of the collection which you are bringing with you to America. 

I shall be pleased to see you in Detroit on your arrival, only it would be wiser for you to telegraph me from San Fransisco what day you will be here. 

When the two cases of Screens arrive, I will have them cleared from the Custom House and taken care of until you get here. 

I have only just returned from Europe but expect to be here until the 1st of October.
