In one of Matsuki's recent enthusiastic effusions, he says"do not consider that Daymio never appreciate prints. With the things they have, are truly great ones." But whether he means to intimate that he is bringing some of the "wonderful things" with him, I do not know.

Kobayashi did not catch the steamer he expected to, so I do not know when he is likely to reach San Francisco. Matsuki hopes to get here some time early October. If either of them bring any prints of consequence, I will ask them to give you the first shot at them.

Will write later about the books.

It must [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] have been pleasant to have Mrs. Chadbourne with you. I agree with you that her appreciation of fine things is unusual, and that she is very undemonstrative.

I expect to unpack some of the pottery tomorrow, and will forward yours, I hope, not later than Saturday next.

With best regards.
Very cordially yours,
Charles L Freer
