in on Tuesday night. Last evening I had to lecture at Cooper Union and was obliged to give all my time to preparation for that.

Of course, I am most pleased to accept your liberal and fair offer of $2500 for the Hokusai screen, and the Shireman Kalamaro screen and I am glad that you like them so much. Please mail the check, at your convenience, to me at this New York address.

I expect to be in New York or vicinity until April 17th, so I shall look forward with great eagerness to meeting you here, when you come. This will remain my New York address. Mrs. Fenollosa remains in Mobile, to look after the repairing of the new house.

Many thanks for your offers of renewed hospitality in Detroit, if you are to be there on April 18th. Of course I shall be most happy to accept. But we shall have opportunity to speak of this later. Do let me know beforehand when you are coming to New York.

Yours most cordially
Ernest F. Fenollosa

P.S Please excuse this vile pen.
